By January 25, 2016Business

The UCL Economics and Finance Society is proud to present Mike Coupe, CEO of Sainsbury’s.

Founded in 1869 by John James, Sainsbury’s started with a single shop on Drury Lane and has grown to become one of the largest chains of supermarkets in the United Kingdom with a 16.9% share of the supermarket sector.

Mr. Coupe will be speaking about his background and journey in retail having held roles in a variety of huge firms including Unilever, Tesco, ASDA and Iceland, and ultimately succeeding Justin King as CEO of Sainsbury’s.

There will also be insight from Mr. Coupe into changes in business in the past few years and the future of retail. As always there will be plenty of time at the end of the talk for any additional questions you might have.

This promises to be one of the most exciting events this year so make sure you don’t miss out! We hope insights from the CEO of one of the largest firms in the UK will inspire some of you to pursue careers in business too!
